The Southern Miss men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams sent a small group to compete in the LSU Twilight meet this past Friday.
Senior Christopher Monroe broke his own school record in the triple jump with a jump of 15.52m (50’11”). Monroe’s record- setting jump was good enough for third place.
Senior Jamar Sims finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of of 6.81m (22’04.25”).
On the women’s side, Brashe Wood and Danisha Jones held fifth and sixth place finishes in their competitions. Wood tossed the weight 16.73m (54’10.75”). Jones had a mark of 16.
