Upon Further Review: Transition has hurt Mississippi State

Mississippi State has been talking about it for weeks.

Offensive line coach John Hevesy very early on said the team would depend on players that were used to going to bowl games and getting the gifts, but not playing very many snaps. Head coach Dan Mullen said that while many of these players were around for 2014, they were playing on special teams or had a role; now they’re starters playing 40 snaps, and it’s a whole new world.

It was after Saturday’s devastating 38-14 loss to Auburn that a redshirt freshman, Keith Mixon, kept the message going.
