With less than two weeks remaining until college football kicks off, we begin "What we don't know" Week here at The A-Gap with Southern Miss.
So who's going to be Southern Miss' quarterback?
Because if Jay Hopson cannot find the guy to reasonably replace Nick Mullens, the Golden Eagles' chances of competing for much of anything within Conference USA slip dramatically.
Mullens threw 62 touchdown passes between 2016-17, completed more than 63 percent of his passes and was 16-8 in games he started and finished. With him watching on the sideline Southern Miss lost to Charlotte, Old Dominion and North Texas last season.
