St. Martin receiver Kalem Reddix, one of the top 2017 skill players in Mississippi, verbally committed Thursday to Southern Miss.
Reddix, who is rated as a three-star prospect by Scout, took an unofficial visit to USM last week for its Junior Day. He plans to check out the school again in June. He has offers from Jackson State, Troy, Tulane and Louisiana-Lafayette. Reddix said he will take a trip to ULL next Tuesday.
“I felt like Southern Miss is my best choice,” Reddix said. “I know it’s early, but I felt this is my best choice because it’s close to home and I can most likely play for a starting position when I get there.
