Keon Howard will make his fifth straight start for Southern Miss (5-3) Saturday at Tennessee.
The sophomore quarterback was relieved by former starter Kwadra Griggs in last week’s 30-12 loss against UAB. But second-year football coach Jay Hopson told the Hattiesburg American Friday the former Laurel star will take the ball at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville for the non-conference contest.

Howard leads the team with 1,099 passing yards this season. He has completed 89 of 148 pass attempts in 2017, while throwing eight touchdowns and four interceptions.
