Frank Gore, Jr. has been named to multiple preseason award watch lists.
The Southern Miss sophomore most recently earned a spot on the 2021 Doak Walker Award Watch List, an honor for the nation's top running back, as announced Wednesday morning. He is also on the Maxwell Award Watch List, which goes to the best all-around player in the country.
Gore Jr. is also on the Phil Steele's Preseason All-Conference USA Team and the Athlon Sports' Preseason All-Conference USA team.
Last season as a freshman, Gore led USM with 708 rushing yards on 121 carries for an average of 5.
