Southern Miss pulls away in second half, defeats North Texas in dominant performance

After an offensive shootout in the first half, Southern Miss pulled away in the second half as the Golden Eagles continued their dominant offensive performance defeating North Texas 45-27 Saturday evening at M.M. Roberts Stadium.

With the win, Southern Miss (4-2, 2-0) earned its second Conference USA victory of the season. The Golden Eagles tied the all-time season series 7-7, improved to 61-22 in homecoming games and 2-2 versus the Mean Green in homecoming matchups.

USM finished the game with 560 yards of total offense with huge contributions from quarterback Jack Abraham and running back De'Michael Harris.
