Arguably the biggest series in Mississippi college baseball history is almost here.
No. 11 national seed Southern Miss (47-17) hosts Ole Miss baseball (35-22) in the Hattiesburg Super Regional beginning Saturday (3 p.m., ESPNU) with a spot in the College World Series at stake. It's the first time two Mississippi schools have met in super regionals, and the series pits Ole Miss' star-studded offense against Southern Miss' dominant pitching staff.
