Southern Miss will get a break from Conference USA action this week.
The Golden Eagles (5-3 overall) have a chance to improve to 2-2 versus the SEC under second-year football coach Jay Hopson when they travel to Knoxville to face off against a struggling Tennessee Volunteers squad. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (CST) and will be broadcast by the SEC Network.
