Southern Miss football hits the road this weekend looking to score a second consecutive victory.
The Golden Eagles (3-3, 1-1 Sun Belt Conference) take on Texas State (3-4, 1-2) in San Marcos on Saturday (4 p.m., ESPN+).
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since Southern Miss bested the Bobcats 56-50 on the road in 2015. The only other FBS matchup between the two teams came in 2013, when the Bobcats took home a 22-15 win in Hattiesburg.
Southern Miss is coming off a dramatic comeback win over Arkansas State last weekend, overturning a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to secure the first SBC win in school history.
