Taking on FCS opposition in the Demons (0-2), Southern Miss (0-2) is hoping to rebound from losses to Liberty and Miami to open the new campaign. The Golden Eagles are in search of their fourth victory in 15 games under coach Will Hall since he took over at the start of last season. The Golden Eagles hold an 11-11 all-time record against the Demons. All but one of those defeats came before 1950.
