Southern Miss football's bowl eligibility comes down to a trip to Monroe.
The Golden Eagles (5-6, 3-4 Sun Belt Conference), losers of three consecutive games after securing their fifth win, will close out their regular season on the road against Louisiana-Monroe (4-7, 3-4).
Bowl eligibility for Southern Miss would be quite a success in the second year of Will Hall's tenure. Equally, it would be quite disappointing for USM fans should the Golden Eagles miss out. They secured their fifth win on Oct. 27 when they topped Louisiana at home. Since then, they've been blown out by Georgia State and suffered close defeats at Coastal Carolina and at home against South Alabama.
