HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss football has landed its first commitment in the Class of 2024.
Madison-Ridgeland quarterback John White announced his decision on Sunday night, continuing USM's recent hot streak on the recruiting trail.
White, as of yet unrated by 247Sports, also held offers from Liberty, Toledo, FAU and Alabama A&M.

As a sophomore in 2021, White led Madison-Ridgeland to a 6A Mississippi state title, posting 273 passing yards for three scores and 42 yards rushing in the championship game.
