Southern Miss first-year coach Will Hall wrapped up National signing day by adding three-star safety Jay Jones to his nine-player 2021 signing class Wednesday.
Jones picked the Golden Eagles over Ole Miss, Tennessee and Arkansas. He's ranked as the 77th cornerback in the country ranks 38th overall in Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.s
Hall reeled in a collective batch of the state's top prospects in the early signing period in December, just two weeks after the program officially announced him as its new coach on Dec. 2.
In December, USM signed eight of the state's top 46 seniors, the most of any program.
