When you lose to a team in the final game of the season in overtime, that's a moment that never leaves a player's mind, Southern Miss head coach Jay Hopson said.
The Golden Eagles lived that nightmare last year when they lost to UAB 26-23.
"This was a tough one to swallow a year ago," Hopson said. "We are possibly conference champs if we don't lose in overtime. That's one play. That's a play that you got to sleep on for your whole life.
