Southern Miss finishes regular season on high note. What does it mean for bowl prospects?

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia — Let the guessing games begin.

Southern Miss concluded the regular season with a 28-27 win at Marshall, finishing 8-4 overall and 6-2 in Conference USA and claiming the third-place spot in the West division. It’s just the fourth time since 2006 the Golden Eagles have won at least eight regular-season games.

Now, Southern Miss will turn its attention toward a yet to be determined bowl game and opponent.
