Southern Miss (2-3, 1-1 C-USA) faced North Texas (6-1, 2-1 C-USA) on the road in a C-USA showdown on Saturday, with the final score being 30-7 in favor of North Texas
“This was a frustrating loss for us,” Southern Miss Head Coach Jay Hopson said. “We had several opportunities wherein we just didn’t capitalize. Credit North Texas, they are a good football team and Mason Fine just finds ways to make things happen.”
The Southern Miss offense struggled to create an identity throughout the entire game, committing two turnovers in the game, but the defense did keep them in the game in the first half.
