USA TODAY released its updated database of college football head coaching contracts, and once against Southern Miss coach Jay Hopson ranks near the bottom. His annual salary of $500,000 remains the smallest in Conference USA for the 13 schools required to make their coaching contracts public. Rice is a private school and is not required to release the details of coach Mike Bloomgren's contract.
