RUSTON, Louisiana — The Southern Mississippi football team could not have had a better start to Saturday's game at Louisiana Tech.
Southern Miss receiver De'Michael Harris returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.
It put the Golden Eagles up 7-0 just 13 seconds into the contest.
Harris started the return down the middle of the field and broke away down the right sideline. He sprinted away from the Louisiana Tech defense the final 60 yards.
Southern Miss came into the game 4-2 overall. Louisiana Tech entered the game 5-1 overall.
