Ocean Springs businessman admits NCAA violation

In arguing he did not violate a local ordinance, an Ocean Springs businessman admitted to a NCAA violation.

Scott Walker told GulfLive.com that his house guests this weekend were absolutely not short-term renters because they were actually four college football players who "were absolutely not paying."

If true, that would be a violation of the NCAA's rules against impermissible benefits, which includes free or reduced rent.

The article did not contain any more details on the visitors (who stayed in the guest house), including what school they attend. Walker is an Ole Miss graduate.
