Southern Miss football finalized its 2020 recruiting class with four letters of intent on Wednesday, National Signing Day, and head coach Jay Hopson made three public appearances — in Jackson, Hattiesburg and Biloxi — to discuss the haul.
USM signedcornerback Vinson Brown, tight ends Mitchell Sellers and Grayson Gunter and wide receiver Da'Quan Bailey-Brown. USM signed 14 players during the early signing period in December.
Hopson was pleased with the 2020 class, saying that he was able to address the team's priorities — offensive skill players, defensive linemen, some outside linebackers and cornerbacks — moving into the 2020 season.
