Cornell Armstrong — already known as “Big Country” to those around the Miami Dolphins’ war room — was at his sister’s house in Bassfield last week when his phone rang.
The call was one that has already changed his life and the former Southern Miss star hopes it will help change the lives of those that follow him through his tiny hometown.
Bassfield — now Jefferson Davis County High following the Bassfield-Prentiss consolidation prior to the 2017 season — is well known for producing top-notch football players.
