Among the newest Mississippi Braves are a couple of the Braves' top prospects and Ole Miss' College World Series ace.
Sean Newcomb, the parent organization's No. 2 overall prospect according to Baseball America, will be the top M-Braves starters, and No. 6 prospect Ozzie Albies will be at shortstop to start the season this week.
Also on the roster: Chris Ellis, one of the key guys behind the Rebels' 2014 season, and former Southern Miss standout Bradley Roney.
Newcomb, Ellis and Roney are part of a talented pitching staff that also includes prospects Lucas Sims, Andrew Thurman, Mauricio Cabrera, Jason Hursh and Rob Whalen.
