Luke Reynolds did something this year that's never been done in Conference USA history

Southern Miss co-captains LeeMarcus Boyd and Mason Irby welcome Matt Wallner to the show this week.

Southern Miss cruised to its second consecutive Conference USA championship in 2018.

On Tuesday, a number of Golden Eagles were handsomely rewarded — in historic fashion — for their respective bodies of work.

Third baseman Luke Reynolds (.403/.558/.729) was named the league’s Player of the Year as well as its Newcomer of the Year. It’s the first time in C-USA history one player has picked up both awards in the same season. His batting average, slugging percentage, runs scored (67) and walks (56) all rank in the top 10 nationally, while he leads all of DI in on-base percentage.
