OXFORD — The deluge of rain Saturday was the only thing that could stop Southern Miss baseball's deluge of offense.
No. 2 seed Southern Miss leads Southeast Missouri 20-0 in the seventh inning of an NCAA Tournament game that is currently delayed by rain. The outburst of rain came after the Golden Eagles set or matched a number of school postseason records.
The game will resume at 3 p.m.
The Golden Eagles powered ahead with five-straight multi-run innings from the third through the seventh. Southern Miss hit six home runs and five doubles.
