HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss defensive coordinator Tim Billings wants the players in his secondary to think less like defensive backs and more like elite military operatives.
"I always tell our guys, 'You've got to understand, y'all are Seal Team Six. If y'all make a mistake, everybody dies,'" Billings said. "A linebacker can get out of the gap or a defensive lineman can get out of the gap, and we're there to save the day.
