Mullens on the brink
Southern Miss senior quarterback Nick Mullens has been a model of consistency for the Golden Eagles. Very nearly the steadiest hand the team has ever had at quarterback. Mullens topped the 200-yard passing mark Saturday against UTSA. It’s the 32nd time he’s done that in a game as a Golden Eagle, tying Austin Davis’ school record. No Golden Eagle quarterback has more than 22 games with 200-plus yards passing.
