Establishing a running game had to be the main focus for this game, and that is just what Southern Miss (3-3, 2-1 C-USA) did in its homecoming win over UTSA (3-5, 2-2 C-USA) on Saturday, Oct. 20. With a final score of 27-17, The Golden Eagles dominated the rushing attack, rushing for 218 total yards in the contest and holding UTSA to 57 yards on the ground.
Heading into the game, Southern Miss was coming off a tough loss to North Texas where they gained just 50 yards rushing on the ground.
Freshman running back Trivenskey Mosley was dominant in the running game throughout the night.
