Golden Eagles move to 3-0 after win at Louisiana-Monroe

The Southern Miss women’s soccer team remains undefeated after netting three goals in the second half of their road matchup against Louisiana-Monroe on Aug. 27, winning the contest by a score of 3-1.

Despite being held scoreless for the entire first half, the Golden Eagles started the contest with an aggressive offensive approach. The team attempted six corner kicks and 15 total shots to end the half, compared to the one shot recorded by the Warhawks.

The aggressive approach would pay off for Southern Miss in the second half. Senior Beth Coleman opened up scoring for the team with a goal in the 51st minute of the contest.
