The Southern Miss volleyball team dropped both games of its Florida road trip, losing to Florida Atlantic in four sets and Florida International in five sets.
On Oct. 19, Southern Miss and FAU battled through two close sets to start off the match, but FAU was able to squeeze out wins of 25-22 and 27-25 to take an advantage in the first two sets over the Golden Eagles. However, Southern Miss fought back and delivered a 25-21 win in the third match.
In the fourth set, the two teams played a close battle, but FAU was ultimately able to fend off Southern Miss’ comeback attempt, winning the final set 27-25.
