Brian Dozier made his MLB postseason debut in grand fashion, hitting a leadoff home run for the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night in an AL wild-card playoff game against the New York Yankees.
Dozier, a former Itawamba and Southern Miss star, took the ffith pitch he saw from the Yankees' Luis Severino (a 99 miles per hour fastball) and hit it straight out to left field.
Dozier had another outstanding season leading the Twins to the playoffs. Dozier hit 34 home runs, slugged .496 and was worth 4.5 wins during the 2017 season.
