Former four-star recruit transfers out of Southern Miss

Jaden Johnson has decided it's time to start a new chapter in his life.

The sophomore quarterback recently entered the NCAA transfer portal and announced his decision to continue his career at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. Johnson made the decision announcement on social media after he spoke with his parents about the situation.

"First, I would like to thank the University of Southern Mississippi for giving me an opportunity to further my education while playing the sport I love," Johnson wrote in a social media post. "I would like to thank the coaches who recruited me during the time and noticed I had the potential to be a D-I quarterback.
