One week, Southern Miss must contend with the best offense Conference USA has to offer in North Texas.
The next, the Golden Eagles are tasked with switching gears to do battle with Texas-San Antonio which boasts the league’s best defense. The Roadrunners, though, might just be C-USA’s best team since they also feature the No. 1 rushing offense (248-yard average) and are putting up the second-most points per game (37.3).
“(North Texas and UTSA) are both good football teams,” Southern Miss coach Jay Hopson said Monday.
