UTEP has not won a game this season.
The Miners (0-6, 0-3) are one of only two teams in Conference USA currently holding such an undesirable distinction. The team is dead last in the league in scoring defense (40.2 points per game) and 12th out of 14 in scoring offense at 14.3 points per game.
The team’s futility led to the resignation of head coach Sean Kugler on Oct. 1. Former Miner coach Mike Price, who led them to three bowl games in nine seasons, was hired on an interim basis.
