Eagles look to stay hot in C-USA play

HATTIESBURG - Last week, Scott Berry stressed the importance of quickly turning the page after a disappointing loss to Mississippi State.

It worked. Southern Miss swept Charlotte and improved to 8-1 in Conference USA action and is 22-8 overall.

So after the Golden Eagles' 6-2 loss to No. 15 Ole Miss Tuesday, Berry said the same principle must apply as his squad welcomes Middle Tennessee to Pete Taylor Park for a three-game series beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.

"(We've got to have a) short-term memory, just like last week," he said. "We've got to get ready for Middle.
