Standout Southern Miss baseball reliever Dalton Rogers has been selected in the 2022 MLB Draft. The Boston Red Sox chose Rogers in the third round with the 99th overall pick.
Rogers, a 21-year-old lefthander, was a force at the back end of the Golden Eagles' bullpen.
Opposing batters hit .128 with one home run in 37 innings as Rogers had a 1.95 ERA.
Contact in general was hard to come by with Rogers on the mound. He struck out 13.86 batters per nine innings.
When he did find himself in trouble, it was usually due to walks.
