It was the Jack Abraham show Saturday evening as he lit up the University of Texas El Paso defense, going 19-of-28 for 351 yards and three touchdowns as Southern Miss defeated the Miners 31-13 Saturday night at M.M. Roberts Stadium.

With the win, USM (3-2) earned its first victory in conference play.

Southern Miss finished the game with 483 yards of total offense while UTEP recorded 294 yards.

The final quarter of the game was quiet for both teams as the Golden Eagles missed on a 42-yard field goal and both teams exchanged punts through the remainder of the game.
