After getting their first win of the season Oct. 3 at North Texas, Southern Miss' game last week against Florida Atlantic was postponed because of a COVID-19 outbreak within FAU.
The Golden Eagles' impromptu bye week gave them extra time to prepare for Saturday's game against UTEP at 6:30 p.m. in El Paso, Texas.
