Southern Miss made two very large strides toward solidifying its offensive line of the future this weekend.

Hours after Purvis tackle Matthew Ryals (6-foot-7, 280 pounds) committed to the Golden Eagles, D’Iberville interior lineman Louis Paul Smith (6-4, 300) made his pledge official. Both Ryals and Smith were part of a small contingent of prospects visiting the Hattiesburg campus Saturday.
