Edmondson, a Scottsboro (Alabama) standout defensive lineman, made the announcement via Twitter just two days after competing in the Mississippi-Alabama all-star game at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg. The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder chose Southern Miss over offers from Rutgers, Troy, South Alabama, Georgia State and Louisiana-Monroe.
