Three of Southern Miss' most veteran football players are ending their time with the Golden Eagles prematurely.
Senior defensive end Jacques Turner, senior linebacker Racheem Boothe and junior running back Steven Anderson have all opted out of the 2020 season and all three plan to enter the transfer portal as graduate transfers.
According to the Sun Herald, wide receiver and kick returner Jaylond Adams has also opted out of the 2020 season although it is not clear if he is in the transfer portal.
Turner and Boothe are two of the most productive defensive players in recent Southern Miss history.
