Tottenham 2-1 Southampton: Last minute Son Heung-min penalty gives Ryan Mason winning start as manager after Jose Mourinho's exit, with Gareth Bale having cancelled out Danny Ings' opener in north London

The Super League was far from super and the Special One not so special far as Tottenham were concerned and another new era at White Hart Lane started with a win.

Gareth Bale and Heung-min Son scored the goals as Spurs fought back from behind to clinch victory in their first game in the interim boss Ryan Mason.

It was certainly not emphatic. In fact, they were awful in the first half when they trailed to a goal by Danny Ings and could easily have conceded more.
