Southampton ready to break club's transfer record with £30m Dutch international Quincy Promes as club prepare to spend Virgil van Dijk money

Southampton are prepared to break their club record transfer fee to sign Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes.

The Premier League club's record outlay was £18.1m for Mario Lemina last August but Spartak rate Holland international Promes at £30million and are refusing to budge in their valuation.

Southampton have money to spend after banking £75m from Virgil van Dijk's sale and remain in talks with Monaco also for Argentine striker Guido Carrillo.
