Southampton pay penalty for Inter Milan's dark arts as Antonio Candreva angers pundits: 'If you put your hands into an opponent's face it's a red card'

Former Southampton pair Francis Benali and Kevin Davies were angered by Inter Milan's gamesmanship as their former club squandered a late first half penalty to peg back the Italians.

Deep into the opening 45 minutes at St Mary's Ivan Perisic was harshly penalised for a handball but it was the actions of Inter's players afterwards that angered BT Sport pundits and Benali and Davies.

Inter midfielder Antonio Candreva appeared to scuff up the penalty spot before elbowing Sam McQueen in the face after the Saints' youngster challenged his actions.
