Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl gives fourth-choice goalkeeper Harry Lewis the green light to find a loan club before domestic window shuts

Southampton are allowing Harry Lewis to find a loan club due to the glut of goalkeepers at St Mary's.

Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl currently has four senior goalkeepers to choose from with Alex McCarthy challenged by Angus Gunn, Fraser Forster and 22-year-old Lewis, who has been restricted to two Football League Trophy games last season.

The youngster signed for Saints from Shrewsbury in 2015 but has played only three first-team games, all in cup competitions, and has spent the 2017-18 season on loan with Dundee United when they were in the Scottish Championship.

While talks continue, the wages paid to Forster and Gunn are making it difficult for them to find another club before Friday's deadline.
