'Something wasn't right there': Brendan Rodgers' sacking by Leicester was 'INEVITABLE', claims Jamie Redknapp, who says the coach lacked 'spark' this season after the club failed to back him in the transfer market

Jamie Redknapp has claimed Brendan Rodgers' sacking as Leicester boss was an inevitability after the club failed to support his transfer ambitions.

The Northern Irishman's four-year stint in charge at the King Power Stadium came to an end on Sunday afternoon, with the club announcing his tenure had come to an end with 'mutual agreement'.

Speaking on Sky Sports during the clash between Leicester's relegation rivals Southampton and West Ham, Redknapp gave his thoughts on Rodgers' sacking.

'Inevitable is probably the right word, he hasn't had that spark this season, earlier in the year they had a run of bad results and he just felt he hadn't got the funds he would have liked.
