'Sacrifice? Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in a cell - that is a sacrifice': West Indies legend Michael Holding slams Jofra Archer after England bowler breached Covid-19 protocols by making 100-mile detour to visit home

Michael Holding has strongly criticised Jofra Archer after the England bowler breached Covid-19 protocols by driving home in between two Test matches against West Indies.

Archer was kicked out of the England team for the second Test at Old Trafford starting on Thursday after he made a near 100-mile detour to his flat in Hove, East Sussex as the players travelled from Southampton to Manchester.

The Test series is being played within strict bio-secure protocols and Archer's journey apparently to visit his friend broke the rules.

In Archer's absence, West Indies put England into bat and Roston Chase made two breakthroughs either side of lunch, removing first Rory Burns lbw and then Zak Crawley caught at leg slip.
