Ryan Bertrand will join Leicester on a free transfer in the next few days with the former Southampton defender set to be reunited with former Chelsea youth coach Brendan Rodgers

Ryan Bertrand is expected to sign for Leicester in the coming days to become Brendan Rodgers' third capture of the summer.

The former England defender is a free agent after allowing his contract at Southampton to expire and Leicester are confident they have won the race for the left-back, who turns 32 next month.

Rodgers identified Bertrand - who he coached at reserve and youth level at Chelsea - as the experienced full-back he needed to compete with youngster Luke Thomas.
