Southampton boss Russell Martin claimed to have 'no interest' in greeting Rishi Sunak, who had made the trip to St Mary's to watch the Saints against Plymouth Argyle on Friday night.
Martin's side extended their impressive unbeaten run to 17 games with a hard-fought 2-1 win thanks to goals from Carlos Alcaraz and Che Adams.
Sunak, who is from Southampton and supports the team, watched on as the squad climbed to within three points of the Championship's automatic promotion places.
But after the game it was the brutal snub from Martin that was on everyone's lips.
