Reading have been hit with a further two-point deduction by the EFL for their failure to meet HMRC payment obligations.

The Royals, who are managed by former Southampton boss Ruben Selles, have already had four points deducted this season due to late payment of wages.

Their latest penalty, which comes amid the continued ruinous ownership of Chinese businessman Dai Yongge, takes Reading's total number of deducted points to six for this campaign.

It also sees them drop from 16th to 19th in the League One table, with Selles' side now just three points clear of the relegation zone.
